Taylor Swift.

As per usual, when Taylor's new album dropped last week,

I had to have it. I've been a fan since her first album

and no matter how much I giggle at jokes people make about

how many boyfriends she's had - I still love her.

While driving home tonight, listening to "Red", something

popped into my head. Usually, when Taylor's

album comes out, there's always this "oh my gosh, Taylor

knows my life right now!" moment. And this time,

it hasn't happened.

And I love that.

There's no angsty Caitlin, trying to figure out why

he hasn't called or texted. There's no hardcore "I need break up"

music blaring. 

Yes, I would love a relationship - and it's been hard

being single for as long as it's been..

but I'm not sitting around, waiting for something

to appear. For someone to appear.

But my mom said something that resonated with

me this past weekend - she said that there's a reason I'm single

right now, right where I'm at. 

If I had a boyfriend, I wouldn't be focused on school

like I am. Or working three jobs (two in

the field I actually want to be in!)

I'd be distracted.

I told my friend Hannah what mom had said,

and she agreed. She said that I always put everything into

the things I'm passionate about - and I wouldn't

go around picking anyone, because

I wouldn't be passionate about them! Which

is 100% true.

I don't like to half-ass anything. And I don't

want to be in a relationship when it's

not right - that's just not me.

I don't like to pretend.

So, right now - I'm going to just listen to my

Taylor Swift cd - and enjoy it.

Enjoy the ups and downs - and listen to someone

elses heartbreak for a while. Because I need

a break - this year, it's all about me!

Pinterest flop.

So, like every other girl I know, I'm on Pinterest.

A lot. 

I love the site (and this really has nothing

to do with the site!) 

BUT, I saw this :

And I'm not happy.

I would just like to say, that no matter if you eat chips

or not - not everyone's body will look like

that from refraining to eat certain things!

I'm hoping that girls and women that see this

photo and"pin" it will know that 

they need to exercise and eat right to get

THEIR PERFECT BODY!

Sorry, but not everyone's made to look

like this girl.

I pray that you have the self confidence

to love the body that God has given you - and

yeah, indulge in the chips every

once in a while..but don't make a habit of them!

Home is wherever I'm with you.

I've been working my little tush off at my full time job, so

the only excitement I've had in the past

couple of weeks is moving into my very OWN apartment!

:)

I don't have anything in it except for an air mattress,

my kitchen table & chairs, my wing back chair,

& my tv and dvd player.

It's a true first apartment (or so my little sister says) 

I can't wait to update with pictures of

how I've decorated it :)

You'll just have to wait and be surprised!

The waiting game.

THREE of my cousins graduated.

One cousin got married.

& my sister, brother and I were all finally

in one place at one time :)

The month of May has been great. It's also been

a major transition time for me - and I'm

still not completely "transitioned".

I accepted a job at a frozen yogurt company

not even 48 hrs after graduating (boo-yah) - but

the location isn't complete yet..

Problem number one.

Problem number two : I'm currently living

40 or so minutes from said location..

so that gives me the real meaning

for the work "commute".

I don't move into my apartment until June 6th.

Which is a week away.

And there's where the complaining

stops, I promise.

It's just been a weird month and I

feel so much like I'm not living up to my potential.

Like I should be out there doing something..

anything!

BUT..that being said, the sermon on Sunday

was all about being secure in God.

Being secure that He's got a plan,

that He loves me,

and that He has me doing whatever
I need to be doing.

I'm focusing on being secure right now..

and that's all I can really do.

 Let's just start off by saying, my father is AWESOME!

He recently ran the Oklahoma City Marathon
and he finished the WHOLE thing :)

I'm gearing up to one day run one
with him - soon!
Get ready pops!

Second thing..

I GRADUATED!!!!

My brother and I actually graduated

on the same day - so WHOOOHOO

on all that :)

My computer is being weird or I'd

write more..

Recent-ness.

So..we had our sorority senior photoshoot..

Next, last weekend was our sorority

banquet in San Antonio..

great friend to me while in college :)
